This is an internal ILO event made available to view online. During the event, Guy Ryder will hand over at the end of his two five-year terms as ILO Director-General to Gilbert F. Houngbo, who takes office as Director-General on 1 October. The ceremony will feature the symbolic transfer of the three ILO keys, representing the tripartite structure of the Organization that brings together governments, employers and workers. Both Ryder and Houngbo will make short statements.
