United Nations observance of the International Day of Care and Support

Under the theme “Transforming care systems to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in the context of Beijing+30”, this high-level event will build on the recently launched UN system-wide policy guidance on Transforming Care Systems as a critical lever for gender equality. As we approach the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, this occasion is a timely opportunity to commit to action to transform care systems, to end the undervalued and gendered division of care work and build thriving, equitable and sustainable economies and societies for today’s and tomorrow’s generations.
