Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming economies, societies and public services. The World Development Report 2026 explores AI’s potential to expand access to knowledge, boost productivity, improve services and address development challenges. The ILO and the World Bank Group convene a discussion on the report’s findings and the policies needed to ensure AI supports inclusive development and that its benefits are widely shared across countries and sectors.
