After a special screening of the Oscar-nominated short film Anuja, this conversation with producer Alexandra Blaney explores how powerful storytelling can shine a light on the realities faced by working children and inspire action to end child labour. Seen by more than 10 million viewers on Netflix worldwide, Anuja follows a gifted nine-year-old girl working in a garment factory in India who must choose between school and survival. The discussion reflects on the role of film and narrative in elevating lived experiences, shifting public awareness, and mobilizing change for children’s rights everywhere.

Interpretation is not available for the online broadcast.
